Jaylin was born and raised in Oregon and his family has deep roots in the Northeast Portland area. He became passionate about sustainability in middle school, sparked by his awesome science teacher. With a background in mechanical engineering, Jaylin now works with Glumac as a building commissioning agent. He is dedicated to making a positive impact on his community through his work and his activism

Izzy first became interested in sustainability at four years old, when her grandpa gave her a book called "50 Simple Things Kids can do to Save the Earth." Since then, she has focused her school and professional careers on learning and educating others about simple, accessible sustainability practices. She is currently a Project Administrator at BRIC Architecture (and she loves it!).

Genevieve is an Energy Coach at Stillwater Energy. She works with industrial and commercial customers to identify and implement energy efficiency measures. In her free time, Genevieve enjoys all things outdoors including trail running, hiking and snowboarding. She holds an M.B.A with an emphasis in Sustainability and Social Impact from Portland State University and B.A. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado.

Monica landed in the northwest by way of Virginia after accepting an AmeriCorps position to get her foot in the door in the world of sustainability. Sustainability drives her interest because of its emphasis on interconnectedness; weaving together the social, ecological, and economic aspects of our everyday lives. The spark of curiosity that started her career path was a high school field trip to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation headquarters, the world's first LEED Platinum building. She has held roles with Clark County Green Business, Multnomah County Sustainability, Port of Portland, and is currently the Sustainability Program Manager for Portland Public Schools.

Amy Cortese is Program Director at New Buildings Institute (NBI), a national non-profit organization dedicated to driving energy efficiency and carbon reductions in the built environment. Amy has been involved sustainable design, green building and energy efficiency market transformation throughout her career. At NBI, Amy is responsible for managing teams that combine research on ultra-low and zero energy buildings with a comprehensive understanding of overall market structure and barriers that prevent efficiency. This deep market engagement and technical expertise leads to innovative and practical solutions for building owners, designers, government agencies and utility energy efficiency programs.

Craig Lardiere is a mechanical design engineer at PAE. He has a strong interest in occupant health and well-being specifically focused on thermal comfort and indoor air quality. A PSU alumni, Craig worked in the Green Building Research Laboratory helping develop air quality sensors and modeling the influx of pollution into buildings. In addition to engineering he is an accredited energy manager and has worked in facilities of multiple large universities. Craig’s work currently includes research on indoor airflow dynamics and occupant health.
